5 Hugely Rewarded Deeds to do in Ramadan
1. Dhikr:
Dhikr refers to the remembrance of Allah
Almighty. On contrary to the regular prayers, Dhikr is not time specific,
rather one can do it anytime and anywhere one finds time to do so. Moreover,
when it comes to Dhikr, there are numerous types of Dhikr prescribed in Islam
and each and every one of them carries a different significance and specialty.
Some of the most rewarding Dhikrs which a Muslim must try doing during the
fasting in Ramadan.
‘Laa ilaha illallah wahdahu la shareeka lah,
lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu yuhyi wa yumeetu wa huwa hayyun laa yamoot, bi
yadihil khair, wa huwa ‘ala kulli shayin qadeer’
“La ilaha illal-lah wahdahu la sharika lahu,
lahu-l-mulk wa lahu-l-hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli shai’in qadir,”
“Subhaan Allaah’, ‘Alhamdulillaah’ and ‘Allaahu
Akbar’ thirty-three times each after every (compulsory) prayer.’
2. Being Charitable:
Besides the prayers and different kinds of
Dhikr, being charitable and giving Zakat is another deed that offers huge
reward during the month of Ramadan. Pertaining to charity in the month of
Ramadan, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:
“The best charity is that given in Ramadan.”
(Tirmidhi)
3. Provide Food for Breaking Fast Of A Person:
Providing food for the opening of fast of a
fasting person is another deed that can help earn humungous reward. Prophet
Muhammad (PBUH) said in this regard:
“Whoever provides food for breaking of the fast
for a fasting person receives the reward of the fasting person, without the
reward of fasting person being reduced in any way.” (Tirmidhi)
4. Recite the Qur’an. It may be difficult for
some & easier for others.
‘Aishah
(May Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “The
one who is proficient in the recitation of the Qur’an will be with the
honourable and obedient scribes (angels) and he who recites the Qur’an and
finds it difficult to recite, doing his best to recite it in the best way
possible, will have a double reward.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
5- The Power of Duaa
The Prophet (S) said: “The dua of three is not rejected; the just
ruler, the fasting person at the time of iftar and the oppressed. The doors of
Mercy are open for him and Allah proclaims, “By My Honor, I will help you, even
if after some time.” (Tirmidhi)
The best time to do duaa is in the morning, after performing Fajr
prayer, and in the evening, after Asr. Tahajjud is also the time when Allah
accepts our prayers and is closest to us when He descends to the first sky,
waiting for us to ask Him what we please. Ramadan is the ideal month in which
to develop the habit of increasing our remembrance of Allah.
The Prophet (S) said: “Verily your Lord is generous and shy. If His
servant raises his hand to him (in supplication) He becomes shy to return them
empty.”
